Seattle Mariachi Bands
The only thing more Mexican than tequila is mariachi, and we are proud to work with the widest selection of Seattle mariachi bands. Ten mariachis in all. Anything from a two piece with two guitars to a full eleven piece band with trumpets and violins.
Our three piece bands typically have vilhuela (small lead guitar), guitar, and guitarron (large guitar which plays bass parts). Larger bands add violin and trumpet. All Seattle mariachi bands feature musicians playing traditional Mexican instruments and vocalists singing authentic Mexican music in Spanish. Most bands wear traditional costumes.
Prices range from $250/hour for a two piece to $700/hour for the largest bands. All bands are particularly busy in May so if you are thinking about a Cinqo de Mayo booking, book far ahead. Ray & Jose have been wowing Seattle audiences for the last 14 years. They were the regular band at Mama's Mexican restaurant for three years and will surprise you with their energy. Available as a two piece or three piece band.
Mariachi Colima
Mariachi Colima
Mariachi Colima began its musical career in Seattle in 2007 to meet the need for live traditional Mexican music for all types of audiences. This six piece band includes trumpet, two violins, vilhuela, guitar, and guitarron. Three of its members sing. Colima plays not only traditional Mexican music but also some more current Mexican tunes.
Mariachi Monarcas
Mariachi Monarcas
Formerly located in Mexico and California, Mariachi Monarcas has been a mainstay among Seattle mariachi bands since 2003. This six piece band includes two trumpets, violin, vilhuela, guitar, guitarron and several vocalists. Monarcas can also break down into smaller groups.
Mariachi Fiesta Mexicana
Formed in 1988, Mariachi Fiesta Mexicana features authentic Mexican music performed by Mexican musicians. They are one of the most popular mariachis in the Seattle area. Though the full group is seven pieces, they can provide a trio or quartet.
Romance
Romance
Romance, a Mexican duo with Jose Vielmas and Juan Acosta, has been together for 18 years, which makes them the oldest Seattle mariachi band. For 15 years Juan and Jose have played a weekly gig at one of Seattle's finest Mexican restaurants. The group specializes in romantic Mexican music but also plays boleros, rancheros, and traditional mariachi music.
Mariachi Real
Mariachi Real was founded in 2013 and is celebrating its 6th anniversary this year. Featuring full mariachi instrumentation and vocals with trumpet and violins, Mariachi Real has performed at countless events-including concerts, corporate events, festivals, weddings, quinceneras, birthdays, and fundraisers.
